Getting started

How do I create a capsule for my child?

Open Nestori, tap Add child, enter their name and birth date (or due date if you're pregnant). The capsule is created automatically and will deliver to your child at age 18.

Can I start tracking pregnancy before the baby is born?

Yes — choose "Pregnancy" instead of "Child" when adding. You'll get weekly size comparisons and can write letters "to the bump". When the baby is born, tap Convert to child and all pregnancy data stays linked.

Is my data safe if I lose my phone?

Yes — everything is backed up to the cloud in real time. Just install Nestori on your new phone and sign in. All memories, letters, and settings sync back.

Can the child see their capsule before 18?

No — the capsule stays sealed until the age you choose (any age up to 18). You decide which memories are "time capsule" vs. visible in the regular timeline for family to enjoy together now.

Subscriptions & billing

What's included in the free plan?

5 GB storage with unlimited memories, 1 child, pregnancy tracking, letters. No video, no family invites. Perfect to try it out.

Do I get a free trial?

Yes — every paid plan starts with a 1-month free trial. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends at no cost. On iOS the trial uses the payment method already on your Apple ID, but nothing is charged during the trial window.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. No partial refunds, but you keep full access until then.

Can I get a refund?

Within the first 14 days of a paid subscription started on the web (Stripe), we offer a full refund per EU law. App Store and Google Play refunds are handled directly by Apple/Google per their policies. Email support@nestori.app with your order info.

What happens to my memories if I stop paying?

Your account moves to the Free plan. Existing memories stay accessible, but you can't add new ones beyond the Free plan limit. After 90 days of inactivity, we'll email you a reminder to export. We never delete data without explicit warning.

Privacy & security

Where is my data stored?

In Frankfurt, EU. Database on Supabase, media (photos, videos) on AWS S3 eu-central-1. Encrypted at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

Who can see my child's data?

Only you, and anyone you explicitly invite as a family member. We don't share with advertisers, don't use your data for AI training, don't sell it. Ever.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, any time: Profile → Delete account. There's a 30-day recovery window in case you change your mind. After 30 days, all data is irreversibly deleted.

Can I export all my memories?

Yes — Profile → Export data. You receive a ZIP with all original media files + JSON metadata. Takes a few minutes; arrives by email.

The 18-year capsule

What happens exactly on my child's 18th birthday?

On the morning of the 18th birthday, your child receives an email with a secure link. When they open it, they can browse every photo, video, letter, and message you've saved — plus contributions from invited family members. They can also download everything as a ZIP for their own archive.

Can I deliver some memories earlier?

Yes — you can set a custom delivery age for any individual message: any birthday up to 18. Useful for milestone messages like "For your first day of school" or "On your 10th birthday". Other memories can be shared with family in the regular timeline immediately.

What if Nestori shuts down before my child turns 18?

We commit to giving you 180 days' notice and a full export. We also strongly recommend periodically exporting your data (Profile → Export) and keeping a copy offline for full peace of mind.

Can I add family members to contribute?

Yes — on paid plans, invite grandparents, godparents, aunts, or friends by email. Each has their own login and adds their own memories. You remain the owner and can moderate or remove anyone's contributions anytime.
